Of the color of our skin
No more need to heed
The doubt
Now we can refute
Internalized inferiority
Lying
Within
No longer can we be
Fatalistic about our future
Now we have tangible proof
That despite our past
Our beginnings
Our life’s turbulent trails
We can win!
