Culture , Peace & Conflict   Short Stories

I haven’t shared the end of the story with you because, as often happens, my granddad never finished it. He always says, “Your life should be a little bit mysterious, because you never know how it will end.” At that time I didn’t realized what it meant to him to have lived through the war, but later I recognized what nerves people had to have during the war. It must have taken a lot for them to not think what tomorrow would be or how they would live without relatives.

These thoughts influenced me so much that, from them on, I thank the defenders of our beloved country! In my opinion, my grandfather is a classical example of firmness and strength of mind. Furthermore, I could talk with him about any problems because he is trustworthy and he keeps all my secrets, helping me to find the right path in the life.
