We Have Everything Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Osamuyi Okpame, Nigeria Oct 28, 2008

We have everything
We have nothing
When our children
Become wayward
Our brothers
Become cultists and fraudsters
Our sisters
Become whores and adulterers

Education is taken for granted
Get rich quick,
Becomes our slogan
And affluence, a demigod
With no career ambition

Our economy blossoms
Our morality trembles
We have everything
We are so empty
We have lost our conscience
The God in us, who can find?

I enjoy both reading and writing, and a quote that serves as inspiration to me is: "Sometimes the difficulties we face, could be our greatest asset in life."
