Taking, my country Ghana into consideration, it is a very attractive sites with many tourists areas which would really make someone happy. In our culture for example, we have some festivals that we celebrate. It is according to clans for example the Ashantis celebrate "Akwasidae" which is very interesting it entails a lot like the speech of the chief, dancing and drumming by the cultural troupes, making sacrifices and parcifing the gods of the earth. The Ashantis for instance have a golden stool which is believed that in the past there was this great man
"Okomfo Anokye" who brought it from the sky when the people of the Ashanti land had gathered and were having a festival. It is believed that the people of the Ashanti land have their soul in it and it is the symbol of unity, strength and power.Unlike the foreigners we have a different way of celebrating our marriage rites. The couples to be have to seek the consent of their parents and a thorough search and investigation has to be made to find out the background of the to be husband or wife. It is believed that the family of the to be husband are quarrelsome, or there are some disease in the family like madness, epilesy, cancer and many others. It could also be that, there are reported theft case in the family. After all these investigations the couples can then go ahead and marry. The marriage
ceremony is done in the house most often where there are presentation of drinks like schnapps by the family of the boy. There is the presence of the priest there to bless the marriage. The bridegroom has to pay some amount of money to the brother of the bride as some sort of compensation. Talking about people of Ghana in general they are understanding and patient, God-fearing and they accept people no matter who they are. Actually this is all I can say about myself, my people and our rich culture.
