A light of the ages, The favourite of the muses, Mightier than Excalibur Is my poetic sceptre. Dig deep into artistic dungeons And unlock the wits of ages; Reveal to the world mysteries And lead me to palaces. Dumb shall I be Without your forging steam; Dumb shall I be Without your voice. Severe the cords of our tradition; Reflect the light of our generation. Imprint your footprint On the indelible path to posterity. Sting he who kidnaps thee And return with xenophobic wings. Leave me not my gentle brother And in oath I’ll leave you never. Travel your treasured distance On my pieces of paper. « return. |
