A Letter From Satan Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

  Short Stories

I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores. You awoke without kneeling to pray. As a matter of fact, you didn’t even bless your meals, or pray before going to bed last night.

You are so unthankful, I like that about you. I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed your way of living, Fool, you are mine.

Remember, you and I have been going steady for years; and I still don’t love you yet. As a matter of fact, I hate you, because I hate God. I am only using you to get even with God, He kicked me out of heaven, and I’m going to use you as long as possible to pay him back. You see, fool, God loves you and He has great plans in store for you.

But you have yielded your life to me, and I’m going to make your life a living hell. That way, we’ll be together twice, in the fiercely burning fire of Hell. This will really hurt God. Thanks to you, I’m really showing Him who is boss in your life, with all the good times we’ve had.

We’ve been watching dirty movies, masturbating, cursing people, stealing, lying, and being hypocritical, fornicating and visiting dirty websites together.

We’ve been overeating, telling dirty jokes, gossiping, being judgmental, backstabbing people, disrespecting adults and those in leadership positions. We have bad attitudes and no respect for the Church.

Surely, you don’t want to give these all up. Come on Fool, let’s burn together forever. I’ve got some really hot plans for us both here and in Hell. This is just a letter of appreciation from me to you. I’d like to say “Thanks” for letting me use you for most of your foolish life.

You are so gullible, I laugh at you. When you are tempted to sin, you give in – Ha, Ha, Ha, you make me sick. Sin is beginning to take its toll on your life. You look 20 years older, and now, I need new blood.

So go ahead and teach some children how to sin. All you have to do is smoke, get drunk, or drink while underage, cheat, gamble, gossip, fornicate, and live being as selfish as possible. Do all of these in the presence of children and they will do it too. Kids are like that.

Well, Fool, I have to let you go for now, I’ll be back in a couple of seconds to tempt you again. If you were smart, you would run somewhere, confess your sins and live for God with what little bit of life that you have left.

It’s not my nature to warn anyone, but to be your age and still sinning; it’s becoming a bit ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, I still hate you. It’s just that you would make a better fool for Christ

P.S. If you really love me, you won’t share this letter with anyone.

Yours, for as long as you want
Lucifer

I liked your article alot, but what I liked most was your wide imagination. The idea is so not typical. It is exciting to have the chance to listen to Satan, showing his ugly face for once, and giving up, for just some little time, his continous pretence of being a friend and an advisor. In addition, your article was a real-life evidence that the essence of religion is all the same, for nothing of what you have said about Satan has contradicted my beliefs as a muslim, although, as far as I understood, you are a christian. God bless you!

This article is very original. I love your creativity of describing the sinister characteristics of Satan through a letter. I find that this captures the readers’ attention more because it is interesting to imagine yourself reading a note from Satan. Writing in this style could give people a clearer understanding of your opinions too. According to me, I usually find letters more simple and easy to read than other ways of writing. The message your article is conveying is also very admirable. Being a Christian, I agree with your thoughts and beliefs. Satan does despise God, and would do anything to seize us away from him. He doesn’t care if we end up in pain and misery for our wicked actions. All he wants is for us to disobey God. Unfortunately, many of us do fall into the devil’s traps, for humans are of a sinful nature. Everyone lies, swears, think lustful thoughts, gossips, betrays etc. It is impossible to be perfect or else we would be God. This is why we need to confess our sins to God like how the author pointed out. I also found this letter to be quite inspiring and encouraging. In life, I have to face numerous temptations daily, big or small. When I read this article though, I’m reminded of how pleased Satan is when I sin, so I feel more obliged to obey God. Overall, I think I enjoyed “A Letter from Satan” a lot because of my religion. Many people with different opinions, cultures, and beliefs would probably feel differently about this article. I find it amazing and wonderful how things could be looked at and commented on from so many different views. Once again I’m glad that you, the writer, is letting others know how selfish Satan really is, and how much hatred he holds.

No one is evil

Hello, thank you for this "letter". It reminds me of "The Screwtape Letters" by Clive Staples Lewis a little bit. The laughter of the devil is always full of hate. But to answer Shereen: In Europe open Satanism (as a form of worship) is a seldom thing. But there is a certain subculture which can be linked to Satanism. A member of my class counts himself as a "Gothic" and wears black clothes. He listens to "dark music". If you look at the lyrics of this music you will be frightened. But I started discussing this with him and it turned out that he wasn't a satanist but in danger of becoming out. He didn't believe in God and I showed him that believing in the devil but not in God is nonsense. So we must never forget the fact that everyone is God's beloved child no matter what he does, no matter if he turned his face away from God.

This Letter from Satan has been around for awhile. From what I knew, the author of the piece was unknown. It has been posted on Christian websites for the last few years, sometimes "R-rated" is changed to "x-rated" or "dirty" depending on the desired impact.

Temi, I really thanks God for using you to inspire us and energies of spirit man to understand satanic logic way. Truelly, devil has many way to divart people particularly children of God direction to shut his own way. I believe that many will read this letter and have change of life particularly in the way they have been walking with God. Once again, I appreciate your God given talent. I pray that God will multiply it. Keep it up
