At the dawn of early morn
As soon as she was born,
Above the sky the sun shone
To bid her welcome into the world all alone.

Some time afore the midday,
The sun never hid and it bade her come.
She said no for her soul never wanted to go home;
So said her soul, for she was still a kid.

All day the sun stood and watched her play;
She ran up and down all day.
At dusk, 'cause the sun had ripened,
It bade her come, but she didn’t say no.
The sun smiled and took her home.
