HIV, you ruthless and invisible scavenger
I wish we had a cure for; some kind of avenger
You lurk in our body fluids; fattening away
I wish I could get rid of you; I wish there was a way
You're a selfish little bastard; entering everyone you can
You don't get satisfied and it's causing a whole lot of pain
My heart is bleeding inside because it seems you're unstoppable
I try to sensitize people, but I can do nothing more
These people just won't listen; well, a few of them will
And some of them just keep on getting worse ever still
I advise them not to indulge in illicit sexual intercourse, and all kinds of other vices that can drive them off course
I tell them about the other ways in which they can get it, but they just won't listen; they just don't get it
HIV is a murderer and it spares nobody
It's out on a killing spree and it's causing a lot of jeopardy
For example, take HIV to be a child that is harmless to you; it enters your body but it doesn't really attack you
It may be there for years, and everything is okay
But like every existing thing, it will get older some day
It grows into AIDS, and then, my friend you're in trouble
Your life is now really just as weak as a bubble
I'm giving you this advice, hoping you'll take it from me
Beware the scavenger that has come to be known as HIV
