Drugs, Cigarettes and Alcohol have become some of the biggest items of international trade. Drug trade has grown from a small cottage 20 years ago, but which at present, is one of the largest smuggling items of the world. There are more than 8 million drug addicts in the world in which South Asia has vast number of drug addicts and drug
suppliers. All South Asian countries have strict rules and
regulations for stopping drug traffickers, but they often escape the punishment by bribing the officers. Poverty also tempts farmers into drug production.
Another neglected problem in South Asia is cigarrete smoking. Nepal also has a vast number of cigarrete smokers. The children who are regularly exposed to smoking are prone to respiratory illnesses and cancer. Some students also have a bad circle of friends who attract them to smoke. Some students even learn by seeing it in movies. They think themselves smart by smoking. Similarly another problem in Nepal is alcohol. Some people are attracted by the advertisement given on television and on the radio. In our country, it is seen that often thedrunker beats his wife and quarrels with his children. Drinking alcohol and driving have also taken human lives. Our country is buying
a lot of alcohol from foreign countries which actually should be used in the welfare of the country.
Drugs, Cigarrettes and Alcohol are very harmful for our body
because it causes Aids and Cancer and liver and heart problems. It should be controlled by banning advertisements on the media and writing articles on the demerits of drugs so that people will be aware of increasing cigarrete and alcohol taxes,etc. Awareness should be included in course books so that children can learn about drugs, alcohol and cigarretes.

A person once told me "People use drugs because they're effective", this person was an alcoholic and cocaine addict. And you never would have guessed that this person was also a brilliant lawyer and debater, and I do mean brilliant (absolutely genius). People would not use drugs if there was no satifaction or validation of something. Drug use is part of man's escapism tendency. I think stress and not knowing how to deal properly with our frustrations and negative energy is the main cause of general drug use throughout the world. There are more complex feelings confusion, denial, and a real distaste for the world, that lead to very abusive drug use. I think that as a communities we need to encourage positive practices and solutions for expressing and changing negatives into positives. I would really like to elaborate but I do not have the time so I will leave you with some final thoughts. I believe that for us to begin to change a world problem, or a bad world people habit we need to go to the root of the problem. Drug use is a means of release and temporary satisfaction from that release, it is a release of pent up feelings. And these pent up feelings express themselves through the drug use. So the solution and idea that should be built off of is positive constructive use of these pent up energies, give them an alternate mode of expression. And that could involve support of artistic means of expression, but anything that involves creativity and expressing these feeling through creation, not destruction.

Cameroon like all other African countries and other countries in the developing world, faces a lot of problem concerning youths health. This is mostly common among sexually active youths. The careless and poor nature of their life, do not permit them to be aware of certain dangers that may attend them.
African youths as a whole do face this problem of having low knowledge on sexual education. They know more while in the field, which actually becomes very dangerous to them and the society in which they live.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases are very common within youths. This is due to their active sexual life style which is mostly never protected.
