My walk, my talk Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

Every day and every night I proceed on this journey called life,
Trying to keep clear my sight in the midst of my internal strife.
At the break of dawn I'm marching on, in search of a brighter light,
Trying not to play it wrong, trying to stay strong and play my game right.

And constantly I'm followed by my pressure and my hidden pain,
And honestly there’s days I feel all this stressing is going to leave me insane.
It’s like I hear something coming at me when I can’t see around the corner.
Everyday in the heat and everyday it feels like it’s only getting warmer.

With battles on my mind, like a soldier on the front line, always on the run.
I’m carrying this weight on my shoulders and it feels like a million tons.
But please know this is not a plea I’m spitting; I’m used to fighting my own battles.
Oh Life- you’re not hearing me quitting; I’ve got too many unresolved issues to settle.
In this world with so many things bogus, I’ll be trying to do what I have to.
I endeavour to stay focused, refusing to be one of life’s fools.
