Hours on end Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Matthew Salinas, United States Jun 14, 2008
Culture   Poetry

He’s sat alone with no feeling on for hours on end,
He’s spent his time atop a lonely throne for hours on end,
He’s felt no loving embrace or passion for hours on end,
He’s been trapped inside his own mind for hours on end,
The dark empty spaces and shadows torment him for hours on end,
The feeling of desperation and cold join him for hours on end,
The memories and stories carry on for hours on end,
A haunting echo filling the hole in his chest resonates for hours on end,
The sunshine is gone and blackness fills everything up for hours on end,
He wishes he could cry another tear or two for hours on end,
He regrets almost everything he’s done for hours on end,
The quite air spins around his empty skull for hours on end,
Time won’t stop, it continues on for hours on end,
Left behind and forgotten he is crushed for hours on end,
An abomination of nothing worth living is how he lives for hours on end,
The pleas and screams leave his throat for hours on end,
No one comes to save him so he waits for hours on end,
He claws at the walls of his prison for hours on end,
It seems that with all the time and hours passed it finally needs to end…
