Dreams, according to the Oxford dictionary, are a sequence of scenes and feelings occurring in the mind during sleep. They can also be ambitions or ideals, especially when they are not very realistic. For this context, I am not looking at the dreams that occur during sleep, but am rather focusing in the areas of ambition and actualization in one’s future.

Often, people change from a particular field of endeavor to another, and yet another, without making any achievement or impact. They become frustrated as a result of failure and poverty then write themselves off. This phenomenon has enriched graveyards through the death of men and women who retire to their graves with unfulfilled and unaccomplished dreams.

Everyone’s dream is to be the first, the best and always on top. Those who display a negative drive make a mockery of all endeavors on which they embark, subjecting themselves to a life of perpetual mediocrity. On the other hand, the worthy ambition to excel is an act that attracts approval.

Every day of life brings man closer to his dream or further away from it. It depends on how one applies the knowledge which has been acquired over years. It may be from home, school, friends or relatives or even church. Each day of your life should bring you closer to your dream and not further away from it because, whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve as well.

There is a dream that God has deposited in your mind, just for the benefit of humanity. And that, I put to you with every conviction, is the purpose of your creation. You are born with that special quality and ability to accomplish assignments on earth, such that some special people and communities will benefit from it. Your dream is very important because it is you. A man is what he dreams.

My friend, never look down on your self, thinking you are not able to accomplish your dream. Your current status may simply be based on your present situation. For the fact that the dream is there in your mind means that you are already equipped by God to accomplish it.

The greatest dreams today lie unutilized in the graveyards, the lost dreams of those people who pass through this world without making a mark in the sands of time. I wish to make you understand that it is a three-fold crime to die with unfulfilled dreams:
  • A crime against divinity.

  • A crime against humanity.

  • A crime against yourself.

It is a crime against divinity when one fails God by his /her inability to fulfill his purpose and assignment for life. It is a crime against humanity when one fails to solve the problem and assignment he/ she was created to solve for humanity. And it is a crime against oneself when one refuses to make use of his/ her talent, designed to benefit him/ her financially, mentally, socially, spiritually and otherwise.

Dreams are the natural beginning of every achievement. The wonderful and beautiful luxury cars, aeroplanes and electric incandescent lamps we have today are the products of dreams. Positive pursuit will definitely transform your dream into reality; it is the evidence that your dream will succeed. Statistics shows that 20% of the world’s population controls 80% of the world’s resources, while the remaining 20% of resources is being managed by 80% of the world’s population. The 20% of people that control the majority of the resources are those who have discovered the principles of accomplishing dreams. They remained focused on their dreams despite the discouraging opinions of others.

Let it be clear in our minds that there is only a thin line between being poor and being rich. Migration from one side to the other is always a possibility. Let us ask ourselves these basic questions:
  • What is my dream?

  • What is my focus and pursuit?

  • Which is my area of pursuit?

Try your best to provide the answers to these questions.

The reason why so many people fail is because they have refuse to picture why they live. They have no focus or purpose, and they lack the power of pursuit. When you locate and pursue your plan, you will start your journey towards relevance and greatness.

Welcome to the world of dreamers!
