In conflict with emotions everyday,
teardrops falling
for the words you cannot say.

Trying to look as if all is okay,
trying so hard
just to make it through another day.

Projecting an image to look so right,
when no one knows
you’re crying deep inside.

A struggle each day,
a break down to prevent,
you try to be positive,
but the pressure doesn’t end.

Through the concrete jungle,
You keep moving on and on,
heavily pacing with your mind racing
constantly from dusk till dawn.

Needing a hand, needing a friend,
but there’s none in sight.
Seems they cannot comprehend
what you’re fighting with, day and night.

But you must open your eyes
to see what lies beneath
the disappointments, heartache, sorrow and grief.

Only you know where to search for the hero that is inside.
For only you know your mind
and where to find its light.

Life is not an easy road; it can sting like a bee.
But there’s a champion within you,
Find it, and let it be free!
