The situation in Iraq is a clear-cut example of the analyses made supra. The US government after the September 11th 2001 attack did not take some time out to reason properly. The attack said a lot about the security situation at the time in America. It also dealt a big blow to their national pride in addition to the loss of so many lives and property worth billions of dollars. Perhaps if the American government had taken time out to think about what necessitated the brutal attack on its nation, it would have treaded softly in taking actions against the Iraqi issue.

The position right now is not new to international observers, but what everybody is however not sure of is the uncertainty of world politics and diplomacy in the future. Now the British and American governments have not only put themselves in situations whereby they are not trusted by other nations of the world, but they have also put themselves in the position whereby their own people not only see them as only liars but as governments whose mission is not understandable.

To worsen matters, the American government is still seeking for $87 billion to carry on in the war against Iraq. This now leaves everybody wondering what the US and the British governments are actually up to. Prime Minister Tony Blair in the past weeks has had to answer a lot of questions on the British government’s role in Iraq. A lot of people in Britain feel that he had lied to them.

His entire attempt to justify the government’s role has fallen to naught. Ironically, the US government instead of being diplomatic about the issue; is asking other nations to send troops to help them execute the war. The question is; how many nations are willing to do this? People and nations are seeing how American soldiers are being killed every other day.

No nation will be willing to commit troops to such a venture as it tantamount to suicide. It is only a man with the ideal mind that can see things from this perspective. The moralist will want to use this medium to flex muscles; but having seen the situation of things in Iraq, can might then be said to be right? Your answer as an ideal man is in no doubt as good as mine.
