...In Love

I’m in love
Deeply in love
And well attached
Like Edunjobi of Osun,
That can never be separated.

I’m in love
With those of my kind
Those with strong and black skin
Like that of dusty woods,
That suffered under whip
The whip of humiliation.

I’m in love
Deeply in love with them
For we suffered together
In pains and anguish
In sorrows and fear
To get a touch of liberty in our lives.

I’m in love
Deeply in love
For we have vowed
Vowed to lead and live our lives
Till total liberty wanders our way.
