A procrastinator is someone whose favorite action is to take no action at all. Now I’m not calling you a procrastinator, I’m just defining one. But if you are one, I suggest you change because there’s no way you are going to make ‘Legitimate Millions’ in MLM (Multilevel Marketing) with an attitude like that. To make ‘Legitimate Millions’ in MLM, you need the right attitude, the millionaires’ attitude.
You know, I can only show you the door, it’s left for you to open it. I can only show you the mindset and attitudes of an MLM millionaire, it’s left for you to adopt and use them. The following are the attitudes and mindset of MLM millionaires, If you adopt and use them, I promise you’ll rise to the millionaire level yourself.
- Millionaires believe totally in the power of the MLM business scheme they are in: It’s one thing to tell people you believe in your MLM scheme, it’s quite another for you to believe in it deep down in your heart. When you wake up in the middle of the night, do you believe in your MLM scheme? In your heart do you doubt the effectiveness of your MLM scheme? Do you just pretend to believe in it? Do you sometimes let up in your belief in it? An MLM millionaire will never ever let up in his belief in the MLM scheme he belongs to. Not in the presence of his spouse or children, not even with a complete stranger. This is such a powerful attitude because it creates what is called ‘Enthusiasm’ (which is not the same as excitement). This is the one thing that can create enthusiasm in you. Since enthusiasm is contagious and people are attracted to it, it will be easier to network with people through it. I can hear you ask “How do I believe totally in my MLM scheme when I haven’t made a dime from it or benefited from it in any way?” The answer is you don’t need to have benefited from it before you believe in it. The way to believe in it is to understand it and the only way to understand it is to read all the materials provided you by the MLM business scheme. A lot of Nigerians don’t like to do this. They just join, skip the reading and understanding part and expect to climb to the millionaire level. It just won’t happen. Read, understand and believe in your MLM scheme. Follow this guideline if you haven’t benefited from your MLM scheme in any way. Try to adopt this attitude first before any other one as it’s the first step in the right direction.
- They see their MLM business scheme as the best cure to a killer disease: You now see why number 1 above is so important. You simply can’t see your MLM scheme in this way if you don’t believe in it in the first place. It doesn’t matter which of the MLM schemes you belong to, they all have their unique features that can enable you to see them in this light. You are asking, “How am I going to do that,” right? Space won’t allow us to look at all the MLM schemes, their unique features and how they can enable you to see them in the light of “The best cure for a killer disease”. But you can always call or mail me for information on how you can do this in your own specific MLM scheme. The bottom line is, it can be done for any MLM scheme and once you do it in your own MLM scheme, you’ll immediately start noticing positive changes in your MLM business. Think of it, what would you do if you were told you had AIDS and the cure for it could be obtained from someone? Even if you were skeptical, you’d still try the cure right? It works the same way in MLM business too.
- They believe they are an added value to the MLM business: Has this ever happened to you? You tried to network an individual but try as you may, the individual won’t come along and then the individual later registers into the same MLM scheme you told him about, only he registers under someone else, not you. It happens a lot. It’s not because the individual hates you or doesn’t trust you, (although it’s sometimes that), it’s just that the individual didn’t think he had anything to lose by not registering under you, but he thought he had a lot to lose by not registering under the other person. You didn’t come across as added value to the MLM scheme. The other person did. A lot of people have this particular problem; they don’t know how to come across as added value. What to do? Simple. Why would you take a drug prescribed to you by a doctor and not take that same drug when your friend who isn’t a doctor, tells you to take it? It’s because you think the doctor knows more about the drug than your friend. You think the doctor has more knowledge of the drug than your friend does. If you position yourself in such a way as to be seen as having more knowledge about your MLM scheme than anyone around, you will have achieved the concept of added value. Once this is achieved, people won’t see it as helping you when they register under you. They’ll see it as helping themselves.
- They are always honest when presenting to a prospect: This doesn’t need much flogging. When presenting to a prospect, don’t EVER lie to the prospect. Be honest. In as much as it’ll be easier for them to join under you if you lie to them, what happens is that when they join, they get to see the truth in black and white. Your credibility and their trust in you go down the drain forever. In MLM especially, honesty is always the best policy. Contrary to popular belief, the truth when told in a positive way, works lasting wonders as against telling a lie. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not pleading or trying to convince you to be honest, I’m just telling you that this is one of the powerful attributes of MLM Millionaires. If you want to be one, you MUST adopt it. If not, leave it and leave your dream of becoming an MLM millionaire.
- They know money is not the issue: Immediately an individual is able to see something as worth more than it’s price, the individual will go to various lengths to acquire that thing, just because he or she thinks they’re getting it cheap at that price. MLM millionaires know this. They don’t fall for the excuse of “I don’t have money”. They know that for this excuse to have come up at all, they haven’t done their presentation properly. Their presentation was faulty. So what they do on hearing such an excuse is smile and say "I totally agree with you” and present the benefits of the MLM scheme some more until they get the prospect to say what’s really on his mind, because it’s not money that’s the problem. They know that if they can present their MLM business in such a way that it looks cheap at its price, even if the prospect doesn’t have the money, he or she will go and look for the money, just because he or she sees it as cheap at it’s price. You can adopt this attitude too. Tailor your presentation in such a way that (without telling lies), it will be perceived as cheap at its price, because it actually is.
- They know there’s nothing wrong in being persuasive: People are scared of being persuasive, some people even think it’s wrong to be persuasive. Some say they don’t want to sound as if they’re begging. There is a major difference between being persuasive and begging. Nearly everything you do, you were persuaded to do it not begged to do it. You were persuaded to walk and now you are scared of being crippled. You were persuaded to wear clothes and now you can’t go anywhere without your clothes. You were persuaded to use a mobile phone and now you feel empty without it. People persuaded you to do the things you do, to use the things you use etc because they know these things are good for you. In the same way, MLM millionaires know that MLM is good for you and therefore they are not ashamed or scared to persuade you to try it out. They know eventually, it’ll be win-win for both of you. So you don’t have to be afraid of being persuasive, it’s good to be persuasive.
Re-read this piece and make a decision to start thinking and acting like this, and start doing it. Adopt the above attitudes and mindset and you’ll be well on your way to becoming an MLM millionaire yourself.
