Diamond in our eyes In the eyes of the world Luxury indeed in the deep of waters Humanity at risk of survival I have watched the tale told To children of my grand-parents That we owe destiny around our fate Precious invention of diamond The industry is money The stone is wealth The labour are suffering The sweet harvest is fueling blood It is an invention that aids conflict It is increasingly becoming a good curse What ever the name calls we have the answers in our generation Meaning development and doing it Using the commonwealth for the commonwealth Sharing our heritage together in equity So does nature demand from leadership But greed will perish in future But our people will stand right to fight Yet our worries are yet to be confirmed If diamond is money Let us sell it for the people If it's wealth Then the people should be influenced If it's another name for blood It has to become bread for life If it becomes conflict Then it has to become construction If we have mistaken it for a curse Then we have to start making it our blessing Because, seeing we can do it, we can Because, we have to be friends together Seeing our world becomes a better place with it In a true world that brings joy to all Seeing, ' we are the world ' We have to be the future too!
