The ubiquity of God Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Visionary Sam, South Africa Jan 24, 2008
Religious Freedom   Poetry

I see God every now and then,
There in the soft touch of children;
I saw Him in their every mien,
Only God gives the rain.

I see God in grasses as they grow -
He was there in the kaleidoscope of the rainbow.
I see God in a peaceful zephyr as it blows,
He was there in children's faces all aglow.

I saw God as doves of the sky fly;
He was there in a widow's outcry.
I see Him as the sun shines out of an azure sky.
He was there as passenger planes fly.

I see God as snowflakes drop in the plateau of Niger,
He was there in the perishing clime of the Scandinavia.
I saw Him in the air currents of Biafra -
He was there in the Yuletide euphoria.

I see God as the surf gushes to the shore.
As children scuttle around the sandy shore,
Playing, giggling, and gleeing with ardor,
I see God in their allure.

I saw God in the yester years.
He is here in my adult days;
He was there in my juvenile years.
I see Him in these halcyon days.

Writer Profile
Visionary Sam

I'm a social engineer with a bold vision. I'm keen about generating and projecting ideas, because every great achievement sprouts from an idea. I'm a young poet and writer of African extraction. I'm an active volunteer and a leader of a youth organization. Currently, my team and I are working on the environment in absolute fulfillment of our passions, and in partial fulfillment of our British Council and Youngstars Foundation Top12 project. I'm very much concerned about the sorry state of the planet Earth. I like taking part in leadership discussions and in the political process, especially, as they affect the youth. I strongly believe in human resource empowerment and development.
