The world is full of wickedness
Hostility, hatred, bitterness.
And men struggle to
get along in life
Just for the sake of existence.
People endure their relationships
Rather than enjoying them.
People just tag along
And believe that something
Will happen someday,
But no one is willing
To effect the desired change…
The desire that’ll pave the way
For the desired positive change.
Everyone is mindful of self
Working hard for
the sake of self,
But not concerned
about the interests
Of other people around them,
Forgetting that life
in its real sense
Is not about a man,
neither is it about what a man possesses but about our impact on the lives
of the people around us.
For the desired peace and
tranquility to emerge
Our intellectual capacity
doesn’t matter,
Nor our oratory prowess.
No one can birth
a positive change in the world
except through selflessness.
And selflessness does not come
Out of the me-centric mindset.
Selflessness goes skin deep.
It’s about what drives
my actions.
It’s what propels me
To think about others
before myself.
It’s what provides me with strength in my weakest state.
It’s what serves as the roadmap
to me in a confusing world.
What is the key to selflessness?
How can I become selfless?
Being interested firstly
in others Before myself.
What creates the zeal
And passion in me?
Can anyone help me out?
The only answer to these
And other numerous questions
That I’ve discovered
Is TRUE LOVE.
True Love is what turns
two arch-enemies into
the best of friends.
It turns warring parties
into friendly nations.
But it’s such a deep and strong
word that has been given
different meanings
by different people.
Some just use it to cover up
their craftiness,
Some out of a sincere heart,
Yet others out of ignorance.
What is TRUE LOVE?
The real meaning of love
cannot be unveiled
except when one establishes
a sound relationship
with LOVE Himself,
and God is Love.
He is the One who teaches
men to love sincerely
Without any ulterior motive
or prejudice,
Cutting across geographical,
ethnic and tribal boundaries.
Language is not a barrier
to the expression of True Love,
Because it is He who
created humanity
And knows each person’s unique needs.
The greatest revelation in my entire Christian walk
is the revelation of God’s unwavering and unfailing love
towards all mankind.
This love towards mankind propelled Him
to offer the greatest sacrifice of all time,
His precious Son,
To reconcile man back to Him
for the sake of genuine
and sincere fellowship.
My love for you
Is not based on emotions,
my personal goodness
nor on my righteousness,
But it is predicated
upon the depth of Love
that God has bestowed upon me
and is showering on me.
My love for you is not about me,
Though I take responsibility
For my choice and decision.
But I want you to know today
That I can boldly say
I LOVE YOU
Because He loved me first
and birthed the capacity
to love sincerely
and flawlessly in me.
My love for you is the extension and the off-shoot of His love and goodness towards me.
That’s why my love for you
is a perpetual one.
Because God’s love for me is unending and I promise
to love you to the end
by His exceeding grace
that is available to me.
