Agony of being a youth Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

No one wants to trust you,
Yet everyone is eagerly awaiting to criticise you
Your downfall is perhaps,
What gives people a reason to merry;
The future is always pitch-black and eerie.

When you seek for help,
The responses wanna make you yelp,
That they say is lack of ambition.
There's no hope of seeing tomorrow
With free flying bullets from yet another struggling fellow?

Afraid to walk the streets job-seeking
As police trudge the highways fault-finding.
By that you get locked up as an idler.
No other way but stay home defenceless,
Then everyone terms you, useless.

Hilary Kent aka KAY
[Ded. to all Kenyan youths]
