Goodbye! In my life, I've said many goodbyes. I've indeed told so many a lies. But none, ever meant this much; None ever cost me this much; none ever hurt me like this; Loosing love, a sweet angel's. In your arms for the last time, It doesn't really rhyme! It does really make sense! When your sweet love is all that I sense. Upon this much, still, got to bade bye; Still got to use the reluctant goodbye. To where they use another time; To achieve my life's aim. Now, I've got to tell myself a lie More unlike any other lie, That you're no longer the one; Aft' now, you're no longer my love. When this heart I can't give another one; When you're the only I know to love. Yet, I've got to say good bye Though, because of no lie. Because I've got to fly; Because of this I was born . . . to fly. Goodbye! « return. |
