Letter to God Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Osamuyi Okpame, Nigeria Sep 8, 2007
Culture , Health , Peace & Conflict   Poetry

Dear God,

It gives me great pleasure
In writing this piece to you
How has your day been up there?
Fine I guess!
Mine has been superb and splendid too.

Please God could You tell me:
Why the heart of human is so deceptive and wicked?
Why humans are ever seeking
More potent ways to destroy themselves?
Why some horrible things happen to mankind
And many innocent souls are lost?

But I know certainly that:
Like growing old, death too is inevitable.
I shall be coming home someday
But exactly when and how, I know not.
I hope you will have a beautiful place
Ready for me, when I come home.

I enjoy both reading and writing, and a quote that serves as inspiration to me is: "Sometimes the difficulties we face, could be our greatest asset in life."
