My wise friend told me that before you give unconditional love You have to find out if the person deserves it. It took me a while to figure out That if someone keeps on hurting you When you've asked them to stop You can love them still - But move away to a safe place, And don't play with them anymore. How do you stop yourself from falling in love with inappropriate people? And what is an appropriate person to fall in love with? Will I find a free spirited rhythmic dancer, A sensually delicious soul, An observer of the beauty that laces all of life with its common thread? Will I find a romantic who cherishes the divine in every human, An eloquent visionary connected to his community and his culture A philosopher who understands what it is that makes him unique? What I want is someone generous of spirit a connoisseur of life a contented soul touched by magic. And if I did find one of these beings Where would I find the time to help shift The Superconscious? Because when I fall in love It fills up every cell of my body Every thought in my head Every charge that pulses through my spirit And everything else just goes out of focus. If I am to love I must be careful to manifest Someone who loves deeply and consistently and gently, Who is on their own creative mission To bring something new to our planet By teaching people, Or moving their emotions, Or inspiring them to live life in a more compassionate way. « return. |
