With my eyes shut,
you gently blew a kiss in my ear
and I squirm as you ran your fingers down my nape

You wrapped an arm around my shoulders
as if to pull me close to your chest
and you slid your other arm around my waist
sending quivers through my spine

You cradled me in your embrace
and comforted me with your caress

You moved your hands to hold my face
as you kissed my lips

I rested in your love

I opened my eyes to look into yours

Lo, it wasn’t you, but the wind!
