Why we will lose in the election, whatever side we are. Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

Disunity among the youths will be one of their main undoing. There is a proliferation of youth movements out to win donor support. The youths should unite to form a national movement based on an espir de corps and turn-out in large numbers during the elections unlike their 36 percent during the referendum.
Women and youths have the same problems hence need to have a common agenda. In voting for the government or opposition they may have lost indirectly as their voice will only be an anthill in a land of mountains. The youth may have 58 per cent of the vote but they need to change their tactics to be plausible.
Often perceived as major instigators of violence, youths should be ready to lose if they make such slight mistakes. Einstein said that “not everything that counts is countable and those that count are not everything”. The youths should know that their vote is everything and it counts. If they fail this round, they will have to blame themselves.
