Before one writes a business plan or any plan they should have a goal in mind. In the last session we discovered that the individual is the most important even before starting any business and the same is true of the business plan. To know how to write the business plan one may begin first by writing down their plans e.g. Finishing a book may be ones goal, in order to accomplish this one may have to beak down this goal into manageable small bits. Therefore it will be important to state how much time will be allocated for this task and emphasize the time frame for achieving the goal e.g. a week, a month etc. By doing daily tasks you will be able to manage your goal hence the importance of the plan. Be in the habit of writing down your goals in life. Divide them into short medium and long term. Then break each down (plan) into smaller tasks. Depending on the amount of planning one can also determine whether a goal is short medium or long term. Reading a book may be short term as it require less planning to achieve, learning a new instrument may be medium term and requires more planning while building a house may be long term. Planning is not dependent on time but on the clarity of one’s goal and the skill in executing it (the plan). My medium term goal may be to another person a short term goal. Most visions fail because of the lack of planning. As entrepreneurs it is important to have many goals hence improve the skills in planning Planning requires thought hence your mind has to be fit. Exercise a lot, occupy your mind with ideas on how to improve lives, to improve your ability to solve problems try mind games e.g. chess. It is also important to try new activities as this will improve your creativity especially in overcoming new challenges. Have a Business plan. It is worth a Try. « return. |
