Just as water is the only thing that can relieve thirst in the desert the provision of friendship by God is the only thing that can satisfy our socialism through encouragement in times of trail and direction for our busy lives. So then, as the deer pants for the streams of water, so do I pants for you oh! Friends of substance.
A good friend can be hard to find, but is worth looking for, someone who understand you without words, someone who knows and love you anyway. You can spend months a path, but when you finally see each other a gain it’s like no time has passed.
God bless us with a few special people like that. People you can laugh with, cry with, argue with and their love for you never changes. They are there to lift you up when you fall, to encourage you when everything seems hopeless, to tell you the truth when you need to hear it .
A friendship like that will sustain you through the darkest time you will ever face…… you’ll truly see the love of God through fiends and will be blessed beyond belief.
Lord, thank you for the friends you have given us- each brings something different and special into our lives and each one is unique in his/ her own and important too. Help us to treasure each friendship we have and let our friends know we appreciate them.
Teach us to be the kind of friends who loves unconditionally. Who share each joy and sorrow and who will walk alongside, encouraging and laughing sharing the love you have given us.
Cultivate, nurture and share this with all those you consider friends and see if it comes back to you! But always expect unexpected and respect.
