I heard the great sound with my ears
Greatly scary, mightily fearful
Then I heard shouts, cries, wailings and sporadic Gunshots
And I ran for my life….

Then I saw you near my house
You killed some few girls with machete
Then you spotted me…… I ran off
After me you came with your boys

Along the way I saw a little child beside her dead mother
I never tried to rescue her because she’s too tiny to be killed
But you butchered her like a goat offered to the primitive gods
Then I realized I’ll die in few Minutes

You caught up with me….. Slapped me like a strong soldier
I felt dead but I was still alive
Your beautiful brown eyes when the going was good had turn red
I don’t think you remembered we were in the same class sitting next to each other

Your best name I called seconded with God’s own to plead
Yet you ordered me beaten to stupor like a street thief
You raised your machete to kill me……………
Then I woke up

Alas!! I was dreaming, it was April, 2007
I am a SURVIVOR of the dreaded GENOCIDE
Don’t know why I survived till now
Maybe to tell the world to STOP GENOCIDE.
