Mother's Tears Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

Peace & Conflict   Poetry

She Cried,
Because one of her son just died,
She Wept,
When in her lap her dead son slept,
She sobbed, the mother,
When she knew he got killed by his own brother
She prayed,
Eh Allah , Eh Ram, she said,
She thought,
There was just one heaven, just one God for which they fought,
She hid her face in shame,
Blood killed blood because they used a different God's name,
She begged,
For mercy to the almighty she begged,
She said,
Oh Lord I am Afraid
She professed,
Maybe a devil had them possessed
She Meditated,
Seeing her pleading, God got agitated,
Don't cry oh Mother Eve he said,
For those who don't have the sense enough that there is just one God, deserve to died
Why waste precious tears and cry
Why do thou bleed your heart for you sons so foolish
Who do not know they will surely meet in one heaven after they finish
Why do you bury your head in shame
Let yours sons once see for themselves that there is just one me, with different name
She replied,
No matter what you say oh Lord, oh almighty, one of my sons just died, one of my sons just died

Remember for every life that is lost in the riots there is a Mother Eve somewhere crying for one of her lost grandson who just got killed by his own brother.
