The earthquake is a terrible incident in any country.
Such a feeling has had every person stayed in the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 8.
The earthquake was in the evening, apx. at 10 p.m. that's why the most part of people had already been at home.
- It was awful, - says the pensioner Matluba-opa Boboeva. I felt that day would be last in my life. I immediately
remembered the accident that had taken place in 1966. It was the most powerful earthquake in the history of Uzbekistan in
20th century. Our capital Tashkent was ruined at all. It took a lot of time and money to make it beautiful and to build it
again. Now we can see a new Tashkent - new and up-to-date.
The latest earthquake was in every region of the country: from Fergana to Surkhandarya. The indexes of force with
what the earthquake happened were the following: in Tashkent it was 4-5 points, in Samarqand - 3-3,5, in Fergana - 5, in
Karshi - 3,5, in Surkhandarya - 2-2,5 points. The city where this earthquake began - Isfara is in 190 kilometers from
Tashkent.
Many people living on the territory of Uzbekistan for many years have not remembered such a strong earthquake: last
5 years did not give us such ones.
- I am keeping in my mind a fact of previous earthquake: it was aprx. 3 or 4 years ago, maybe 5, I cannot say exactly.
But it continued for 20 seconds or less and its index was only 3 points, - shares his recollections Akram-aka Abdullaev,
an aksakal of one the mahallas in Fergana region.

Nature around us has many secrets that humanity wants to reveal. It is not right. Man's life is also a secret that
everyone will know and uncover in the end of his life. Many geological experiments led us to increasing the nature
catastrophes.
The latest earthquake confirmed this fact. If we want to live our life healthy and without nature accidents, we must
think about the harm that every day in all places on the earth is done. Only today's lowering of experiments will lead us
for happy and calm life in future that everybody of us wants and needs.
