Common Sense And Female Leadership In The Workplace Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Adeshola, Nigeria Apr 16, 2007
Human Rights , Gender Equality , Corporate Social Responsibility   Opinions

Above, are just a few solutions that come to mind. I believe its high time we abolished forever, that age-long subconscious African thinking that women are to be seen and not heard. I am convinced that it is high time we collectively put a stop to this ‘MENocracy’-Leadership of women by men for men, and begin to embrace equal leadership among gender.

I hope my little contribution will spur someone somewhere to actively contribute his or her own part towards ensuring that the proverbial glass ceiling in corporate Nigeria comes tumbling down. Above and beyond all I have said, I strongly believe some women still have a big task ahead of them as far as corporate leadership and self-esteem is concerned. I would like to end with this: "A low self-esteem is only a result of high self-ignorance." Women, I leave the struggle up to you now. It's common sense, right?
