The Celebrations have passed and the people are imagining what happened when their rights are not taken into utmost consideration. Now, a new beginning is approaching and the generation at stake is ready to make poverty history after the shouting and gist. It is now about six to seven years and the Millennium Declaration of no excuse 2015 is becoming a full grown child in his elementary school. Isn't this wonderful, my crazy brother whom I always use to remember the Declaration because he was born a Millennium Child on that faithful, remarkable and historic day that the world made the commitment to free, men and women, from hunger and poverty. I consider the world a declaration in itself and clapped by the imagination and vision of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) founders or "visioneers" not because they deserve it but at least the world is thinking and also because the ideal situation in the world as at the time of the production of this document demanded for it. I use my mouth to do many thing, one to talk much to people that care to listen; teach people who live to hear me speak and impact knowledge to them and I do not know to say lastly to ask and to answer questions. Incredible, I believe because we are the first generation that can end poverty only with our voices, not our pen or paints? Your voice is very important tool for this trade and negotiation for justice, for accountability, for transparency and for good governance in the process of actualization of the MDGs, but more important that our voices is the Will, the force that knows no obstacle to development. Our drive – the agent of change that money never saw and finally, our undivided goodwill – the parent that saw his children progress without compulsion. The Millennium Development Goals, popularly known as the MDGs cannot be achieved only with our voice and without our voice, it cannot be imagined because tools have to be given, enough tools, as mere voice and even strong voice as a tool will make the work be seen and not done well. Let us act more willfully today and advance to a level greater than voice for a 2015 that is possible, valid and achievable. « return. |
