Unfortunate and Fortunate

My friend is always reading
Because going for refreshment
To a pub he cannot afford.

He looked at his dad one day
Walking home uneasily.

My friend looked at me and said:

It is unfortunate.

I noticed what he means:

‘It is unfortunate
that some of us are born
in an illegitimate homes
but fortunate that we are legitimate’.
