Seasons come and go Humans live and die So are the grasses in The summer and fall But memories never die; Seasons come and go Humans live and die So do the tides at Flow and ebb Yet legacies are rocks; Sun rises in the east Sun sets in the west The moon’s a sparkle Of silver on the lake At night – only at night! Just as the man is for A season – just a moment - Now he is, next he’s not; Yet, his marks are forever Etched in glistering granites, His message ever dynamic: If he did the right, If he touched the Human hearts, If he walked worthy Of the Cause for Which he stood, Lived and died. But splayed on the sandy Beaches if he was barren; His deeds a misfit to budding Minds and springing souls, So are his marks, the man That works unworthy … Like the moon’s sparkles, Like the seasons, like the Tides…they come and go! « return. |
