Narsissus’ Song Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

Popular Culture   Poetry

I don’t hear you, nymphs,
What song do you sing?
Could it be sweeter, sweeter than nectar,
could it be sweeter than his voice?
I don’t see you, sun,
You are just a beam that brightens up his face.
What are you to me or him?

You, who resides in water,
Do not be afraid,
Curse your bashfulness.
I am but a friend.
If it be a lover’s hate
For eternity I would await.

I've never really written poetry before and am not a very serious writer. I like to write about things that makes me write, so about almost anything. I can only really write when I feel like it. Thanks for reading my poem.

Beautiful Lyrics
John Schellinger | May 8th, 2007
Greetings, I found your lyrics thru a Google search; I was looking for a poem or lyrics that I could use for a photo that I'm uploading to my Flickr photography site; your words fit, so perfectly, my image; like a Haiku; I would like to have your permission to post them with my photo of Narsissus in my garden; I would, of course, give your credits and a link to this site. Sincerely yours, Ision(here) or Jhaan(in Flickr)

Is this a song?

Hello again, Anna, Where might I go to actually hear your song, if it has been put to music? Ision
