The world of today is becoming very wild and vulnerable so much so that natural disasters, wars and inter-city, inter-tribal and inter-personal conflicts are becoming a talk of each and every day that goes by. All these stem up because we find our selves in disputes and because we spend so much finances on them in law courts(Litigation), we can hardly sometimes predict the next occurrence of a natural disaster, which should be the areas of concern.
Disputes are normal, natural, and inevitable, why? because each and every one of us is unique, with different interests and values. Yes, but if we view disputes as bad, we'll continue our negative experience of them. While litigation like surgery is sometimes necessary, it is always accompanied by great risks, and should be used only when more conservative treatments won't work.
Thus, some alternatives to litigation are:
-- Negotiation
-- Mediation
-- Arbitration
The target here is don't aim at spending more finances on disputes, when it needs you to find the appropriate ritual of resolution to solve it.
Advising on this aspect, the following could be employed;
-- Discouraging litigation in all its forms
-- Persuade your neighbour to compromise whenever you can.
-- Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser ; in fees, expenses, and waste of time and resources.
The lawyer as a peacemaker, has the superior opportunity of being a good person.
Solving disputes thus would be, adopting an approach that views conflicts as normal and unavoidable, an opportunity to better communicate our point of view to our opponent and, where appropriate, to make changes for the better.
We can use the power of a good ritual to
" Give Peace a Chance "

I like your point of view and i think if people adopt such steps to limit the way we visit these law courts, then i think we could make the world a better place to live.
