A quarter was found on the street by a woman returning home from picking her daughter up from school.
"I was just trying to get little Carol to stop asking for dessert before dinner, and there it was," said Marjorie Bains, of Main Street. A search of the nearby area found no traces of other coins.
The quarter itself had no distinguising marks that might help identify the owner. "I suppose I'll put up some posters, see if I can find out who lost it," Bains is quoted as saying.
