The Mystic Dancer Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

I watched you dance all night,
Your feet barely touching the earth,
You swung rhythmically,
To the music of egwu ndu.

You danced with such savagery,
Filling me with ecstasy,
Your skin glistened with sweat,
As your body sung the whole melody.

In your eyes were soft sadness,
When our eyes met,
I felt the pain, the torture,
Scathing my soul.

Now out on my porch,
Staring at the bright sky,
I remember the beautiful dancer,
With steps so light that bright night.
