We live in a world whose events are paradoxical. In one aspect, the happenings in this world ignite lights of hope, but in another aspect they darken our hearts with fear and frustration, whose magnitude and effects are hard to scale.
The theatrical games of such events, the integration and disintegration of processes between organized ways of living combined with spontaneous and emotional actions and reactions, result in directions which are so confusing and in hopes that vanish after a second. Such a dilemma in life is a reflection of the personality of human beings, whose fate, on one side, is coloured by the products of the intellects and, on another, by the exercise of the moral choices of few individuals who have authority and power over all. We need pioneers who can make positive changes for the planet.
As this drama is going on, we need people who can make a difference in any society. Let me introduce one great person from Ethiopia’s capital city of Addis Ababa, who created such a stir and model for his nation in terms of educating people, conserving the environment, beautifying the city fostering a positive environment for the general public. He is indeed a pioneer. His name is Dr. Fisseha Eshetu, owner and president of Unity College, Ethiopia’s first private institution of higher learning. He started the college in 1998 with a small amount of capital. While many businessmen invest their capital in hotels or factories, he was the first person to really make a difference for Ethiopia.
Some people have such a unique capability. We have models like Dr. Eshetu, named Global Young Entrepreneur or 2000, and people can learn a lot from him. Such a marvelous achievement allows us to deduce that nothing is impossible. Education plays a vital role in transforming a society from one stage of development to the next, through the instrument of entrepreneurship.
When entrepreneurship is integrated with creative ideas that focus on the needs of the public at large, it is as bright as the sunlight. For example, if society needs clinics as a priority, one should not invest in a factory. Problem identification and prioritization play a major role in entrepreneurship. After problems are identified, creative ideas to solve these problems will be next. When one establishes an enterprise, one solves the problems on a long-term basis. It does not stop at one point, and it keeps on changing depending on the complexity and nature of the challenges.
The core of western civilization is entrepreneurship, which revolutionizes human society. Everybody has potential, and that potential can be realized through entrepreneurship. Creativity comes with freedom of thought and freedom from restrictions and dictatorship. If people are oppressed, they cannot progress mentally because it kills their potential. When people are free, their creative potential and capabilities will be manifold, able to motivate and change their environments.
Everything is created twice, once in the inventor’s mind and next in making the objective reality. The difference may be in the intensity and potency of the thought created in the mind and the way it is translated into practical reality, in which some ideas outshine others and influence the whole world, while others get aborted in the mind. This may happen due to various reasons. But any idea has every right to be manifested as something objective or be translated into appropriate action with the proper environment and tools. It is in fact very interesting to see, how ideas and concepts, after they become reality, bring tremendous change to human society.
In fact, it is highly related to creativity and perseverance. Once an idea comes to mind, it needs courage and patience to be translated into reality. If entrepreneurship is carried out properly, more for the benefit of society than for profit making, it will play a major role in creating optimism amid society. It will also encourage further creativity, reduce social frustration and insecurity as a result of providing employment opportunities, produce more capital, promote the well-being of society, and play a significant role in this ever-advancing civilization.
The idea of entrepreneurship should be associated with solving the problems of society, not starting a business for one’s own sake. It should not be associated with accumulating money to solve one’s own problems or needs, but rather it should encompass and satisfy the interests of the community. Community needs should be at the heart of entrepreneurship, even though it is initiated by individuals. It will play a vital role in transforming the world to a better way of life, thinking and perspective.

I think you have hit something fundamental when you talk about something being created twice. We as society need to encourage the creative process so these creations can become reality.
