MISH-MASH Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by jeremy chaila, Australia Sep 30, 2004
Citizen Journalism   Poetry

"choose the worst, the smallest the most obscene
and add the worst lighting, then shoot the scene",
and those are the words from the editor's chair
as he releses his stereotypes into our clean air

"make it louder, uglier, bloodier, more shocking
and to top it all off, find a scapegoat for mocking",
and those are the words from the editing seat
as he finds somone to blame for the exaggerated heat

"sell it quicker, faster, add some zeros to the price
we need to sell quick, then, find a new story to spice",
and those are the commands from the editorial throne
as he feeds u all his mish-mash as though it was your own

I enjoy your poem very much because it holds truth.
