Peace & Conflict   Poetry

To you dad, may you rest in peace

Just I want to fly,
Fly away and far,
Far away from earth,
To a place I call home,
Gathering all my soul again,
Lose all the broken feeling of my own,
Discover my self in peace,
Leave all the sorrow; forget the past old days,
Join the birds’ hideaways,
Searching for my self behind the clouds of rain,
Smiling for the winds and ask them to carry me to the heaven stairway,
And when I reach there am sure I’ll see you again,
I’ll see you dad finally and that’s all am looking for,
Hold me tight and heal my crushed wounds,
Ask God to bless me and please him so I could stay,
No time with you, no sun, no moon,
No one will feel me as you used to do,
I miss you daddy!

To me, writing poems is like when I need to scream and get everything out of me!
It's food for my soul!
It's like the crying of a child asking for his toy!
It's like the most beautiful view on earth!
