Of all my challenges that I've faced,
The paths keep growing narrower.
I must stand up and face the world,
Only they won’t give me a chance.
How do I struggle?
I sweat, I cry, I bleed, I remember.
The history that I never confronted,
My ancestors, my heritage, I read I’m told and taught.
I wasn’t there I’ll never be there.
The injustice, the suffering the torture, I rise above that.
The world’s is the same, different, but the same.
Marginalization, stigma and discrimination: big fancy truths.
I dislike the pretence of unity, the forced smiles
Why can’t they be as they truly are?
Let’s not lie to ourselves we can’t all be heroes
But with a little positive influence we can take that step.

On the other side the paths are wider: the grass is greener
Sound familiar?
It’s still the world we live in.

Reality

These words have a beacon on contemporary African reality and touch on some issues that we can not run away from...it echoes from the heart of African youth.

Splendid

These words are touchy and very sensational
