Siem Reap is the home of Angkor, the great wonder of the world. The
The majestic temples of Angkor belong to the classic period of Khmer
(nowadays 90% of the Cambodian population) art and civilization. Today, a millennium after they were built, they awe visitors with perfection and enormity.

Angkor are contains more than 100 monuments. The temples are the creation of a succession of Khmer Kings who presided over an empire that dominated the region from 800 to 1430, reaching its peak in the 12 century. Many of temples, such as Angkor Wat and Bayon in Angkor Thom, merit repeat visit at different times of day, as the reflections on their walls and labyrinthine interior spaces are transformed by light.

The most visited temples are Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom-Bayon, Baphon, Phimeanakas, Takeo, Ta Prom, Banteay Kdai, Pre Rup, East Mebon, Prasat Kravan, Prah Khan, Neak Poan Ta Som, Banteay Srei, Rolous Group...

Siem Reap, 314 Km north-west of Phnom Penh, can be reached by direct flights daily from many cities in the region such as Bangkok.
