FREEDOM SPEECH Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

Human Rights , Peace & Conflict   Poetry

FREEDOM SPEECH The freedom that we seek, for which the sound we hear - Is the freedom we won’t fight for; the freedom that we fear.
The strength bound within us is the weakness we display - The happiness we yearn may be hindered by the dismay.
The mask of satisfaction we unconsciously put on - Blinds our vision, and once removed should not again be worn.
Question what you hope for, and question what you need - Question all that must be done to execute the deed.
You may never get to enjoy the freedom you fought for - Or get the chance to break all the chains and bounds you thought of.
But what's important is the goal, what matters is your vision - They can keep away the knowledge but you must learn to use your reason.
I hope you fight for freedom, I hope you never stop walking - Exercise peace when you speak your mind, but let your heart do the talking.
Let your heart be open, and let your mind be free - Tell the world how you feel about all the issues that you see.
I'm fighting for my freedom, I'm battling to break the chains - and hoping we'll all see the sunshine even after it rains.

Freedom

Beautifully expressed! Freedom is something we all take for granted as we feel that its a natural right that one should have yet it is only when we bound in circumstances that we realize to be free is the most vital and precious gift of all!
