Blood Diamonds Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Emmanuel, Ghana Mar 13, 2008
Human Rights , Peace & Conflict , Globalization   Poetry

Mornings as gold bright and grow dim at sunset.
Like the bright beautiful morning that lingers on through the day
It’s said diamond last forever.
Its luster is eternal from day to day
as the smile of a child.
They sparkle at us when we look at them.
Unique attributes the strongest matter on earth.

Diamond glitters,
They are hard to come by.
Blood rushes through the head of brothers who dredge for it.
Blood runs down the arms of those who dig the trenches.
Diamonds fuel,
in the insatiable ambition for power.
They engine crimes against humanity.
