The Cure Of The Black Hole Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Viviana Torres, United States Jun 14, 2007
Media , Culture , Peace & Conflict   Poetry

The farther I slide, away from being close
The wider this hole stretches its jaws; jagged teeth
Grotesque and polluted with the sinful, and meets
The wants of sick humanity
This gaping hole, hungry for vanity

It is never satisfied.

This hole, this hole, that tries to dictate my soul
Seducing and thrashing to swallow me whole

Time passes, hand in hand with my heart
changing, rushing, assembling its parts;
places rearranging, new ways to restart
Circumstances shuffling like decks of cards

The only thing, I have truly come to know
is the secret prevailing through my life's high and low

This hole, black with the root of all that is wrong
Too horrible for words or song
Is demolished; miraculously gone!
When I release my clutch on the pain
and start reaching for God.
