Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became involved.

What inspires me are people who try to make a difference in the world. They don't think the world is too big or that their impact is too small and they lead by example, not by their words. As part of this, young people who have the courage to lead and stand up for themselves inspires me. People who stand up against bullying and refuse to believe that it can never end inspire me too.

What kind of a future do you hope to create through education?

Anti-bullying awareness and prevention within schools is a huge issue that I have become very actively involved in. This issue matters to me because I was bullied as a youth and I want to ensure other young people have the resources necessary to help them.

class="question"How are you taking your classroom global, and what role is technology playing in the process?

A good leader leads by actions and much less so, words. He/she inspires people to find the best parts of themselves and then gives them opportunities to further develop their knowledge, skills and interests.

Do you think TIG can help you achieve some of your goals? Have we already? Please tell us how.

I would love to be able to connect with educators from around the world through skype or some other kind of video conferencing activity, where my students and their students can discuss global issues, including how to prevent bullying within schools.
