Welcome to the Dispatch

On March 8th the world will celebrate International Women's Day. On this day people all over the world will march, rally, protest, or simply get together to discuss and applaud the progression of women's rights, as well as bring attention to the progress that has yet to be made. Women of all cultures, religions, and backgrounds will be connected through collective action and experience. TakingITGlobal is proud to both include many empowered young women amongst its membership, and to support their initiatives. If you aren't already participating in one of the events for International Women's Day, then take some time to learn about the current state of women's rights in your own community, as well as the history behind the struggle for women's empowerment. Most of all take time to appreciate the women you have in your life, whether they are your mothers, sisters, aunts, wives, daughters, teachers, colleagues, or friends.
