    Value the Land

    Child Rights

Next month's Dispatch will be focusing on Child Rights. On June 12, World Day Against Child Labour is celebrated. Children around the world are denied the basic rights that they are entitled to. In many countries, youth are forced into extreme labour condition, military service, drug and sex trafficking, depriving them of health, education, and other rights. The Sprout E-course and Pearson Fellowship for Social Innovation have recently released a new promotional video featuring several Sprout alumni! Young people everywhere have ideas, passion, and energy to change the world, but they need the skills and support to lift their ideas off the ground.

Sprout, a program of TakingITGlobal and the Pearson Foundation, aims to equip a diverse generation of courageous young people with essential project management skills to craft effective social innovation projects and change their corner of the world for the better. Adobe Youth Voices

The Adobe Youth Voices program at TakingITGlobal uses youth media as a platform for the voices and aspirations of young people. This year, we held an art contest that invited AYV participants to comment on the issues they perceive in their communities through multimedia art. The contest opened on February 1st, 2011 and we received an abundance of inspiring submissions. We are pleased to announce the three winners of "My Voice":
