Hi TIG Member,
Here's a quick update on what was "Hot and Happening" at www.tigweb.org recently:

International Day of Tolerance The International Day for Tolerance is celebrated every November, to promote freedom and progress and to encourage tolerance, respect, dialogue and cooperation among people, cultures and nations everywhere. Before November is over, take some time to think about how you can promote and encourage tolerance in your community and remind others that tolerance and non-violence are avenues towards peace. How do you define tolerance? Participate in the discussion and share your voice.

Eliminate Violence Against Women November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Discrimination against women is just one form of exclusion and discrimination. What are some of the different forms of discrimination that have affected you? What are some of the ways that you have been made to feel as though you belong to a community? How does this affect your life? Tell us about it in a blog or host a discussion to share your views on discrimination. Also, check out the Pixel Project, a campaign that TIG is involved with in order to raise awareness and put an end to violence against women.

G20 Seoul 2010 On November 11th, the financial ministers and heads of state of the G-20 member countries met in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea, for the summit meeting. G-20 member states make up approximately 85% of the global Gross National Product, 80% of world trade and two-thirds of the world population, the decisions made by the G-20 affect us all. And as poverty is expanding, environmental degradation is accelerating and the global economy is in need of reform, it is clear that the time for global leaders to invest in the future is NOW. This is your chance to engage with civil society, global leaders and governments and demand change! Learn more about what is happening right now at Demotix, and add your thoughts to the TIG G20 Discussion Board.

Don't Forget About Movember + I Heart Being a Girl! To celebrate gender equality TIG is running two parallel campaigns in November. The I Love Being a Girl Campaign asks you to record a short video on how it is to be a girl and then post it on their Girltube channel. Secondly, in recognition of Movember, we are celebrating the Mustache! Take a photo of your incredible upper lip hair and add it to this Global Gallery contest - we'll vote to decide who deserves the title of the Global Mustache!
